LIDS Sports Group Internship Program
The LIDS Sports Group Internship Program offers students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a variety of professional disciplines. In order to be considered for any internship position, applicants must be rising college sophomores through graduate school students.
Program Description:
LIDS Sports group offers a college internship program that provides a 10-week full-time summer internship opportunity with preference given for students pursuing degrees in Retail Management, Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Business and Fashion Merchandising. During their internship, students will work at the LIDS Corporate Office in Zionsville, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career-related activities. Students will have the opportunity to present their business project to the LIDS Leadership team and other key members of the organization that summarizes their experiences and business recommendations at the end of each program. The program is designed to complement and expand the students' classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.
What to Expect as a Visual Merchandising Intern:
Interns will have the opportunity to work within the Visual Merchandising team, and partner with Marketing, Merchandising and Store Operations to create and implement visual set guidelines for product within our stores, for specific time periods.
Projects and responsibilities will include:
Performing a SWOT analysis of our retail stores to gain a better understanding of our store experience and how it compares to competitors.
Working both with the team and independently to create visual merchandising arrangements for specific programs within the store.
Assist with development of the visual merchandising directive which will be sent out to the field for execution.
Coordinating with other interns and team members on projects
Minimum Requirements
For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a 3.0 GPA and either a full-time student pursuing a baccalaureate or higher degree in a business-related field at an accredited college/university or attending an accredit 2-year college/university. A selected student must begin the internship on one of the scheduled dates listed below:
Summer 2019 Start/End Dates: June 3rd- August 9th, 2019
Internship students will be paid hourly. LIDS Sports Group Internship Program does not provide any housing allocation. Participants are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
