Facilities Maintenance Technician
PURPOSE:
Collaborate with Shop Manager on planning, and coordination of all building maintenance, day to day operations and operational compliance inspections.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Shop Manager on vendor contracts Ensuring the efficiency of all building systems Coordinating with supervisor on site safety programs Preparing operating reports and maintaining records of maintenance Maintaining a safe work environment for all employees Ensuring all processes and compliance programs are met Coordinate with Shop Manager on facilities planning and space allocation Managing maintenance of grounds Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations Coordinate with Shop Manager on negotiating bids and contracts for third party workers Coordinating building security maintenance services Overseeing all building functions Coordinating with Shop Manager on all maintenance issues and schedules Preparing and filing reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permitting Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
High proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, current knowledge of OSHA requirements as well as use of forklifts & scissor lifts preferred. Follows all company policies and procedures Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Goal-oriented, organized team player Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead Self-motivated and self-directed Experienced at coordinating and following strict budgets Accurate and precise attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals High school degree; bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, related field preferred. Certification in facilities management a plus. Previous experience in maintenance supervision or related field The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a high level of integrity, and be a problem-solver Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift 25 to 70 pounds Computer skills; may include scheduling with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Some on call, evening and weekend work required Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Communication Electrical Installation Work Facility Management Filing Financial Management Apply to this job.
