Position
Summary:
Seeking a visionary Manager of Accounting to lead financial activities for our client, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
This role requires a proactive leader with extensive corporate accounting experience and a passion for collaboration and growth.
Responsibilities:
Support business acquisitions and integration activities, focusing on accounting policy, controls, and financial reporting.
Manage consolidation, analysis, and monthly reporting.
Lead cross-functional projects, including system implementations and technical accounting matters.
Determine appropriate accounting for intercompany transactions and provide guidance on policy interpretation.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports, conduct financial analyses, and assist in scaling up the retail business for SOX compliance.
Drive compliance with GAAP and implement new standards.
Maintain effective relationships with organizational leaders and external business partners.
Guide other departments by interpreting accounting policy and providing recommendations for operational issues.
Coordinate with external auditors and manage efficient and successful audits.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred.
6-10 years of corporate accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, consolidations, and lease accounting.
Experience building cross-functional relationships with senior leaders.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
In Order to be Successful in this Role:
Prior experience in a fast-paced environment and audit/public accounting is desired.
Proficiency in processes, positive mindset, great work ethic, excellent communicator, and adeptness in Excel are essential.
